Our Experience With the Gazco Logic HE

The Logic HE is the fire that made Gazco’s name. When it launched, it was genuinely groundbreaking — one of the first gas fires that didn’t need a flue pipe running off the back of it. It could vent straight into a standard eight-inch Irish chimney, and its efficiency was years ahead of anything else on the market at the time. Most competitors then were ordinary basket fires running at around 25% efficiency. The Logic HE changed what a gas fire could actually do.

It doesn’t need mains power at all

This is the detail people are always surprised by. The Logic HE runs entirely on batteries (and gas, of course) — in the fire itself and in the remote — and they’re standard batteries, the same as you’d have in a TV remote. Nothing unusual, nothing you’d struggle to find.

That matters twice over. It means no electrical connection is needed as part of the install, and it means the fire still works if the power goes down. If the batteries run out on Christmas Eve, you’re not hunting for some obscure size — you’ve almost certainly got spares in a drawer already. And if there’s a power cut, you’ve still got heat.

Interchangeable frames

Something most people never realise: the frame is separate from the fire itself. If you fit a Vogue frame and get tired of the look in a few years, you don’t need to touch the gas connection at all. The frame simply comes off, and a new one goes on. It’s one of the few gas fires where the style and the appliance aren’t locked together for life.

Available in both fuel bed styles, so it suits whichever look you’re going for.

The glass

Same Schott Robax glass used across the Gazco range — near-invisible, heat-resistant, and made by one of the world’s most established glass makers.

Fully sequential remote

The remote has its own screen and works properly — tell it you want the room at 22°C or 24°C and the fire manages itself to get there, rather than you guessing at a flame setting. It also has a child safety function built in, requiring a specific hand action on the remote before the fire will respond, so it can’t be triggered by accident.

Logic HE remote control fires offer complete convenience, allowing you to operate your fire from the comfort of your sofa. Your fire remote control options will depend on which fuel effect you choose.

For greater control, you can select the optional Programmable Thermostatic handset, which lets you thermostatically control the room temperature. You can schedule your fire to switch itself on and off twice a day or once the pilot has been ignited.
Log-effect Logic HE fires can be selected with our Fully-sequential thermostatic handset which is the most versatile in the range, This advanced remote control allows you to ignite your fire and adjust the flame without getting up. This powerful control system can also set your Logic fire to maintain your preferred room temperature if desired.
