We supply kiln dried hardwood logs and Balcas Brites wood pellets from our premises just outside Drogheda — by the bag, the crate or the pallet.
We’re not a fuel yard. We’re stove installers who supply fuel — which means we have a fairly direct interest in what goes into the appliances we’ve fitted.

Why Dry Wood Matters More Than People Think
This is the part we care about more than most fuel suppliers, because we’re the ones who fitted your stove and flue.
Wet or unseasoned wood doesn’t burn — it steams. A large part of the heat goes into boiling the water out of the log instead of into the room, so you burn more wood for less warmth. Worse, the unburnt gases condense in the flue as tar and creosote.
That’s what glazes your glass black, coats the inside of your flue, and eventually becomes a chimney fire. We sweep and service these systems, so we see the results of a winter of wet wood regularly.
Our logs are kiln dried to a moisture content below 20%. They light quickly, burn hot and clean, and they won’t tar up a flue you’ve paid good money to have installed properly.
Kiln Dried Hardwood Logs
Kiln drying does exactly what it sounds like — the logs are heated in a kiln until the excess moisture is driven out. The result is consistent, ready-to-burn wood with none of the guesswork of air-dried timber, and the heat of the process kills off mould and insects, so it’s clean to store indoors.

- 21 litre bags — €6. Handy for topping up, easy to carry, ideal if storage is tight.
- 1m³ crates — €330. The sensible way to buy if you’re heating with the stove through the winter.

Balcas Brites Wood Pellets
We stock Balcas Brites — Irish-made wood pellets, and one of the most widely used and consistent pellets on the market.
€7.50 per bag, available individually or by the pallet.
Consistency matters more with pellets than most people realise. Pellet stoves feed automatically through an auger, and inconsistent or dusty pellets cause feed problems, more ash and more servicing. We sell pellet stoves as well as pellets, so we’ve a direct interest in you burning something that won’t clog the appliance we fitted.
Buying Fuel From the People Who Fitted Your Stove
Most people buy their stove from one place and their fuel from another. Then when the glass blackens or the flue tars up, neither party is quite responsible.
We do both, which means:
- We know what appliance you have, because we supplied and installed it
- We can tell you what fuel actually suits it — and what to avoid
- If something isn’t burning right, we can look at the stove, the flue and the fuel together
- Servicing, sweeping, parts and fuel all come from one place
If we fitted your stove, we should be supplying your fuel. It’s simpler for you and it means somebody is actually accountable for how the whole thing performs.
Delivery and Collection
Collection. Collect any time from our yard at Cooperhill, Drogheda, during opening hours. Bring a boot, a trailer or a van.
Delivery. We deliver throughout Drogheda and roughly a 60km radius — covering Louth, Meath, north County Dublin and the surrounding areas. We’re straight with you about our range rather than claiming to cover the country and then telling you otherwise on the phone.
