Our Experience With the Gazco eReflex 135RW
The eReflex is probably the most popular fire in the range, simply because it fits most chimney breasts without major construction work. The standard opening for a stone or wooden fireplace is 54 inches, and the 135R is the closest match to that standard width.
The eReflex was never designed to just be a fire. When Gazco set out to build it, the goal was something that looked spectacular — something genuinely striking to look at, regardless of how “realistic” it was.
Like most of the newer Gazco range, the eReflex can be fitted single, two or three-sided, thanks to removable panels on the left and right. Remove the screws on whichever side you want visible.
Heat and thermostat
Every eReflex has a 2kW heater, controlled from the remote, with the thermostat built into the remote itself. Switch the heater on, set your desired room temperature, and the fire heats until it reaches it — up to a maximum of 25°C — then switches off until the room drops again.
There’s a smart safety feature worth knowing about: if the fire detects a swing of plus or minus 4°C, the heater stops and needs a manual prompt from the remote to resume. That’s there to stop you needlessly heating a room with a window open, saving you money over the long run. If the heater ever seems to have “stopped working,” this is usually why.
The fire runs perfectly well without the heater too, so you can enjoy the display without adding any heat to the room.
Display settings
Every eReflex gives you 14 fuel bed settings — 13 individual colours, plus one setting that cycles through them, similar to a set of Christmas tree lights.
On the rear wall, the flame effect switches between three colour options: orange, blue and orange, or blue alone. You can also run the flames on their own with the fuel bed off, or the fuel bed lit with the flames off. One control governs both the brightness of the fuel bed and the flame effect.
The Gazco eReflex 135R is the landscape electric fire that will sufficiently embellish a traditional chimney breast. It measures in at just over 55 inches in width its presence is similar to that of a traditional 54-inch fireplace.
However crisp and clean lines on the Gazco eReflex 135RW deliver the largest possible display. Above all, filling the space inside your fire surround without wasting unnecessary space is important for display purposes. Gazco have kept this in mind creating a minimal design therefore the perfect the perfect centrepiece.
The Gazco fuel bed has the option of 13 different colours and the flame effect at the rear has three options Amber, Blue and Amber with a Blue Accent.
All Gazco eReflex fires boast a 2KW heater controlled via an easy-to-use thermostatic remote control. Including energy saving features, for instance, the ability to sense a 4-degree drop in temperature.
As a result the remote will display (window open) allowing you to choose to continue heating the room or to switch to the display-only option allows you to enjoy the Gazco eReflex 135R stunning display without the heater.
In conclusion the Gazco eReflex 135RW range is one of the most advanced fires on the market, In addition to its amazing technology and immerisive lighting display it can create a cozy home without a chimney!
